Who Am I?

Good question!

My name is Alex. I’m a yoga teacher, community space dreamer, and long-time student and explorer of what it means to feel at home in a body.

I’ve been practicing yoga all my adult life. What started as a physical outlet slowly became something much deeper — a way to listen inward, come back to myself, and build resilience. My teaching blends movement, breath & meditation to cultivate inner awareness and balance.

I believe yoga is a tool for self-discovery, a way to connect with your highest self, and a path to finding stillness in the modern world. I teach with care and a sense of humour, and my classes are unpretentious, inclusive, warm and welcoming.

Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time, or deepening your practice, my goal is to guide you toward a sense of connection, awareness, and inner joy.

One morning in London, I woke up with absolute clarity - I needed to go to India and complete yoga teacher training.

(My prior commitment to drinking had kept yoga on the periphery of my life, however it had been knocking on my door with increasing urgency. Once I finally let go of alcohol, yoga burst in, flooding with light the dark shadowy corners where habit once lurked!)

It quickly became clear that Rishikesh - the spiritual birthplace of yoga - was where I needed to be. I completed 300 hours of training and have been teaching since. Teaching yoga isn’t just about guiding others - it’s a continuous deepening of my own understanding, allowing me to share from a place of authenticity, vulnerability, and experience.
